Temporary English Teacher

We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Teacher of English to join our outstanding team at Sheffield Girls' on a fixed-term, part-time basis. You will be joining a dynamic and high achieving department, made up of experienced, friendly and lively teachers who are passionate about English Language and Literature. As a core subject, English is a fundamental part of our curriculum at Sheffield Girls’. You will be required to teach Key Stage 3 English to highly motivated students who enjoy their learning and are eager to expand their knowledge beyond the curriculum. This role would suit an experienced teacher seeking their next opportunity within a leading independent school, as well as a well-qualified graduate or Early Career Teacher looking to begin their teaching career in a supportive and stimulating environment. This is a fixed-term maternity cover role commencing in September 2026 and continuing until the end of the autumn half term 2026. The post is 0.55 FTE, with working days on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday.
