Teacher of T Level (Education & Early Years)

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to teach our T Level in Education and Early Years (Early Years Educator and Assisting Teaching) course. Applications are welcome from Either an experienced, or newly qualified teacher; or those that hold a level 3 qualification with proven substantial industry experience This two-year course was introduced at Scarborough Sixth Form College in September 2020 and has proved a very successful addition to our wide range of level 3 provision. For the successful candidate it will be an exciting opportunity to teach on the T Level course which has enabled our students to progress to employment with children and their families in a variety of settings – for many, by progression to Higher Education before entering employment at a graduate level. In addition, you will be part of the department’s quality assurance team as internal verification is an important aspect of the role. We are extremely proud of our students and their achievements. Last year, 88% of students achieved high grades (Distinction*, Distinction or Merit), with 57% achieving a Distinction against the national results of 27%. 100% of students progressed onto higher education or employment. The successful candidate will work alongside another Teacher of the T Level in Education and Early Years and an Assessor for the T Level in Education and Early Years, as well as colleagues in our supportive, innovative and successful Faculty of Technical Education which prides itself on its student-focused ethos and is acknowledged by students as providing outstanding levels of support.
