Teacher - ESOL Department: Northern College Hourly Rate: £15.96 per hour Contract Type: Variable Hours Reference: REC2486 | Closing Date: Sunday 9th August 2026 Variable Hours This role is offered on a Variable Hours contract for services, giving you the flexibility to choose whether to accept work offered to you. We’ll provide an approximate number of hours you may be asked to work, however there is no obligation for work to be offered, and there’s no obligation for you to accept the work offered. The Opportunity Northern College is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated ESOL Teacher to deliver high quality teaching and learning to students whose first language is not English. You will inspire and support learners from a wide range of backgrounds, helping them to develop their English language skills and achieve their individual learning goals. This role will be delivered primarily within community venues across South Yorkshire, bringing learning directly into local communities and helping learners access education in familiar and accessible settings. As such, flexibility and a willingness to travel to different delivery locations are essential. Working within a supportive and learner focused environment, you will plan and deliver engaging ESOL lessons, assess learner progress and contribute to a positive and inclusive learning experience. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference to learners’ confidence, employability and progression opportunities. About You You are a passionate and adaptable teaching professional with experience of delivering ESOL provision to diverse groups of learners. You have excellent communication skills and are committed to helping students overcome barriers to learning and achieve success.
