About this role
The role is to deliver high-quality LAMDA teaching and examinations, planning engaging and well-structured lessons that develop students’ confidence, communication, and performance skills while inspiring a love of the subject. The postholder will maintain high standards of teaching and professional conduct, use innovative approaches to support learning and student progress, and contribute to The Duke of York’s Royal Military School’s curriculum priorities to ensure excellent outcomes for all students.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality LAMDA teaching, ensuring effective curriculum coverage, continuity and progression.
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons that support excellent teaching, learning and student achievement.
- Support all students, including those with high potential and additional educational or EAL needs.
- Encourage independent and collaborative learning skills and provide enrichment opportunities beyond the classroom.
- Monitor, assess and track student progress, maintaining accurate records and communicating with caregivers as required.
- Support interventions to improve student progress and outcomes.
- Engage in ongoing professional development and attend training as required.
- Work collaboratively with subject and pastoral teams to share good practice and support the wider life of the School.
