We are currently seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join our Learning Support and Enrichment department. This role focuses on supporting pupils within Key Stage 1 and 2, helping them achieve their full potential through tailored assistance and encouragement. Mayville Academy are excited to announce the opening of a Specialist Resourced Provision with SEMH pupils, the successful candidates will joining this new team in creating a high quality, personalised and therapeutically informed approach that enables pupils to make meaningful progress towards their EHCP outcomes and develop the skills needed for life beyond school. The successful candidates will support the day to day running of the SRP, contributing to effective organisation, structure and high standards. Position: SEN Teaching Assistant Department: Learning Support and Enrichment Education Stage: Primary (Key Stage 2) Minimum Qualification: Associate Degree Minimum Experience: 3 years Skills and Qualifications: - Hold at least an Associate Degree or equivalent qualification. - Minimum of three years’ experience working with children with special educational needs. - Strong understanding of Key Stage 1/2 curriculum requirements. - Ability to implement individual education plans (IEPs) effectively. - Excellent communication skills to liaise with teachers, parents, and other professionals. - Patience, empathy, and adaptability when working with diverse learners. - Basic knowledge of relevant assistive technologies is desirable.
