PYP Student Counselor (Part Time)

Anton Bruckner International School is seeking to recruit an experienced and qualified part-time PYP Student Counselor to start in September 2026. The School Counselor is expected to: Provide counselling support to students and consultation to parents Direct and support teachers in dealing with students who are facing challenges Support teachers in the delivery of aspects of the SEL curriculum Advise the curricular integration of the SEL curriculum Work across universal (whole-school), targeted (small group), and individual levels of support Collaborate closely with the Learning Support team while maintaining clear distinctions between academic and social-emotional support Skills and Qualifications Qualified school counseling degree (Master’s preferred) Fluent in English and preferably German Experience in an international school context is essential, IB experience preferable Two years minimum as school/student counselor Commitment to ongoing IB and other professional development Willingness to develop and promote a growing school, staff, and student body Commitment to diversity and inclusion in addition to adapting and developing pedagogy Be able to provide a background check (criminal record) Positive, collaborative, and approachable interpersonal style Key Responsibilities The School Counselor works as part of a collaborative student support system, including leadership, learning support, and safeguarding teams.
