About this role

The working hours for this role are expected to be 0.6 FTE. The start date for this role is as soon as possible. This advert is scheduled to close on Tuesday, 19 May 2026 at 09:00. This 0.6 position could suit someone looking to step into part-time leadership, balance other professional or personal commitments, or transition from a full-time post. We are also open to secondments from other schools or trusts, and would be happy to explore creative models such as job shares or blended roles. Our focus is on securing the best expertise for our schools, and we are keen to shape the role around the strengths and circumstances of the successful candidate wherever possible. The Primary School Improvement Lead will play a central role in driving high standards across all primary schools within the Trust, ensuring consistency in teaching, learning and curriculum delivery. They will lead on curriculum development, assessment strategies and professional development programmes, embedding best practice and supporting continuous improvement. Working closely with Headteachers and senior leaders, the postholder will conduct quality assurance activities, identify areas for development and support effective school improvement planning. The role includes coaching, mentoring and developing staff at all levels, as well as designing and delivering high-quality CPD aligned with the Trust’s priorities. The successful candidate will promote collaboration across schools, build strong partnerships and contribute to cross-phase working to enhance outcomes for pupils. They will also use research and data to evaluate teaching and learning, inform practice and drive innovation across the Trust.
