MYP Mathematics Teacher

Job Description – Secondary IB Mathematics Teacher Department: Secondary School Reporting to: Head of Mathematics Role Purpose Westlink International School Hanoi is seeking a dedicated, knowledgeable, and student-centred IB Mathematics Teacher to join our Secondary team. As a full International Baccalaureate continuum school authorised through the Middle Years Programme (MYP) and currently a candidate school for the Diploma Programme (DP), we are looking for a teacher who can contribute across the secondary mathematics pathway. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality mathematics teaching within the IB framework, primarily in the MYP and, as our Diploma Programme develops, in the DP. The teacher will foster conceptual understanding, inquiry, and critical thinking while creating an engaging and inclusive learning environment that supports all learners to succeed. Key Responsibilities Curriculum Planning and Delivery Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and challenging mathematics lessons aligned with IB MYP and DP frameworks. Teach across the secondary continuum, including MYP and future DP courses as required. Design inquiry-based, concept-driven learning experiences that connect mathematics to real-world contexts. Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs, abilities, and language profiles of learners. Embed Approaches to Learning (ATL) skills and promote global contexts within lessons. Assessment and Feedback Develop and implement formative and summative assessments aligned with IB criteria and standards. Use assessment data to inform planning and support student progress. Provide timely, specific, and constructive feedback to promote reflection and growth. Maintain accurate records of achievement and contribute to reporting processes. Classroom Culture and Student Wellbeing Create a positive, inclusive, and respectful classroom environment that promotes student voice and engagement.
