Salary Details: Up to ยฃ44,947.50 per annum DOE

Who we are:
Netherlea School is managed within the Applied Care and Development (ACAD) organisation, which is a subsidiary of the proprietor, CareTech Community Services Ltd. It is an all-through independent special school, located in Dumfries. The school supports children and young people who have faced significant disruption to their learning as a result of social, emotional and mental health needs, neurodivergence or learning difficulties. The school registration is for up to 16 children and young people between the ages of 8 years old and 18 years old.

Requirements:
Appropriate primary / secondary / additional support needs teaching qualification.
The ideal candidate will:
Communicate effectively with parents / carers.
Develop productive nurturing relationships with our young people.
Provide advice and guidance to pupils on issues related to their education and wider well-being.
Teach assigned classes together with associated preparation and planning.
Prepare pupils for examinations and assist with their administration.
Develop the school curriculum.
Maintain a rich, stimulating classroom environment.
Assess, record and report on the work of pupils.
Promote and safeguard the health, wellbeing and safety of pupils.
Work in partnership with parents, care staff and other professionals.
Participate in issues related to school planning, raising achievement and self evaluation.
