Al Kingsley MBE is a British educator, author, technologist and multi-academy trust chair. He is CEO of the international EdTech company NetSupport, the author of five books on education and technology, and a school trustee with over 20 years' experience.
His work sits at the intersection of education, technology and governance. Al has served as Chair of a Multi-Academy Trust and on Secondary, Primary and Alternative Provision boards. He has sat on the DfE Regional Schools Director's Advisory Board for the East of England since 2020, chaired his county's SEND Board for six years, chairs the Institute of AI Education Advisory Board and the BESA EdTech Group, and is a member of the Forbes Technology Council and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts.
He is the author of The Awkward Questions in Education (Routledge), My Secret #EdTech Diary, My School Governance Handbook and My School & Multi Academy Trust Growth Guide (Hodder Education), and co-author of A Guide to Creating a Digital Strategy in Education. Al was awarded an MBE for services to education.
