What is Al's EduDirectory?

It brings together a global school directory of 3.88M+ records across 200 countries, world education statistics for 215+ nations, 3,600+ research articles, daily AI briefings, education jobs, books, podcasts, newsletters, events, and more — all in one place, free to use.
Who runs it?
The platform is operated by K4 Consulting Ltd (Company No. 16108379, registered in England and Wales) and curated by Al Kingsley MBE. Al is the author of My Secret #EdTech Diary, former MAT CEO, and has spent 20+ years at the intersection of education, technology, and policy.
Is it free?

Where does the data come from?
Every dataset on the platform is sourced from authoritative, publicly available sources — including UNESCO, OECD, World Bank, UNICEF, the UK Department for Education, the US National Centre for Education Statistics, and official national registries from 200 countries. No data is fabricated, estimated, or purchased from commercial data brokers.
How often is the data updated?
Update cadence varies by dataset. Education jobs are live and refreshed multiple times daily. Al's Edu Daily briefing is published every weekday morning. Research articles are curated continuously. The school directory is updated annually from national open data releases. World education statistics are updated annually when source datasets publish new releases.
How accurate is the school data?
School records are compiled from national government open data releases and official education management information systems. Accuracy depends on the quality of the underlying national source. If you spot an error, please use the Suggest a Correction link on the relevant record.
Can I export or download data in bulk?
Bulk download and programmatic access require a data licence. Viewing and citing individual records is free. For licensing enquiries contact al@edudirectory.school.
