Hours: 37.5 hours per week | Monday to Friday | 8.30am – 4.00pm
Salary: £23,000 per annum (not pro rata)
Contract: Permanent | Term Time Only

About the Role
As a Youth Coach at Heath Farm College, you’ll play a pivotal role in supporting students’ behaviour, wellbeing, and engagement. Working closely with teaching staff, the wellbeing team, and pastoral leads, you will help young people regulate, re-engage with learning, and develop positive behaviours.
Your work will include both in-school and off-site support, delivering tailored interventions and helping students access bespoke timetables, off-site learning, and personal development opportunities. Lone working may be required as part of this role.
Support and monitor student behaviour, including managed returns to class
Deliver 1:1 and small-group wellbeing sessions, supporting emotional regulation and self-management
Implement agreed behaviour and wellbeing strategies across the school
Act as a point of contact between school, families, and external professionals
Support pupils following bespoke timetables, including off-site provision
Plan and write risk assessments, ensuring compliance with school policies and safeguarding procedures
Provide on-call support to staff when required
Contribute to whole-school behaviour initiatives, rewards systems, and student responsibilities
Coach students in emotional regulation, self-management, and positive choices
Maintain accurate records of interventions and monitor their impact
About You
The ideal candidate will have:
English and Maths, GradeC/ 4 or equivalent
Experience in a career with transferable skills relevant to this role
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
