About this role
We are seeking an experienced, full time or part time, KS2 Teacher to join our friendly and supportive school team in September 2026. This is a temporary position for 12 months.
The successful candidate will deliver high‑quality teaching across Key Stage 2, providing engaging, stimulating and well‑planned lessons that meet the needs of pupils of all abilities. Working collaboratively with colleagues across the school, the post holder will contribute to a consistent and ambitious curriculum that promotes curiosity, confidence and a genuine love of learning.
You will:
· Deliver high‑quality teaching throughout Key Stage 2 in line with published schemes of work
· Teach core subjects (English, Mathematics and Science) and other key subjects to a high standard
· Use assessment data effectively to inform planning, target‑setting and pupil progress
· Track and supporting pupil attainment and progress, including targeted interventions and stretch for the most able
· Communicate clearly and professionally with parents regarding pupils’ progress and wellbeing
· Contribute to departmental collaboration, shared practice and ongoing professional development
· Support whole‑school events, trips (including residentials) and the wider life of the school
The successful candidate will have:
· Appropriate degree and teaching qualification
· A child‑centred approach and celebrates the individuality of every pupil
· Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children at all times
· A willingness to contribute enthusiastically to the wider life of a busy independent school
· An ability to embrace professional development and collaborative working
