We are seeking a compassionate, proactive and student-focused Wellbeing Coordinator to join our thriving Sixth Form team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting the wellbeing, engagement and success of our students by providing a responsive listening and triage service and helping to foster a culture of openness, resilience and help-seeking.
The successful candidate will be committed to improving outcomes for young people, building positive relationships, and ensuring that students can access the right support at the right time.
About the Role
As Wellbeing Coordinator, you will provide a student-centred wellbeing service that encourages students to self-refer and engage with support through accessible drop-in sessions and targeted interventions. You will work closely with the Sixth Form Team, tutors, safeguarding staff and external agencies to identify needs early, reduce barriers to learning and ensure students receive appropriate support.
You will play a vital role in promoting positive mental health, supporting student voice initiatives, and contributing to a whole-college approach to wellbeing.
About You
We are looking for someone who:
Has experience of supporting young people with wellbeing, mental health or pastoral needs
Demonstrates excellent listening, communication and interpersonal skills
Can build positive and professional relationships with students, staff and external partners
Understands safeguarding responsibilities and can manage sensitive situations appropriately
Is organised, resilient and able to maintain accurate records and manage competing priorities
Is committed to promoting inclusion, student wellbeing and positive educational outcomes
Can work both independently and collaboratively as part of a wider pastoral and safeguarding team
