Introduction
Some young people aren't ready to walk through the door of a learning centre.
For some, anxiety is overwhelming. For others, previous experiences of education have left them feeling unsafe, misunderstood, or convinced that learning isn't for them. That's where our Transition Support programme begins.
We're looking for a Transition Support Tutor to join our team in Stratford-upon-Avon, supporting young people aged 16–25 who have an EHCP and need a different starting point. Rather than expecting learners to fit into a programme, this role is about meeting young people where they are and helping them take their next step from there.
You might spend part of your week supporting learners at home, in the community, or in small group settings. As confidence grows, you'll help them develop routines, life skills, emotional resilience, and the confidence to engage with learning, employment, or a centre-based environment. The aim isn't to rush the process. It's to help things feel possible again.
This role would suit someone with experience in education, youth work, mentoring, social care, community support, SEND, or SEMH provision. More than anything, we're looking for someone who can build trust, adapt their approach, and genuinely believe in the potential of young people whose journeys haven't followed a typical path.

Plan and adapt learning activities to meet individual needs, interests, and levels of readiness.
