About this role
We are seeking to appoint two compassionate, organised and proactive Teaching Assistants to provide dedicated support for a student with an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP).
The student is bright, friendly, gentle, loves learning and has a complex profile of social, emotional and sensory needs. The student has a diagnosis of autism, ADHD, DCD and hyperacusis and presents with a disordered profile of social communication and language strengths and needs.

The Role
The successful candidates will provide tailored support throughout the school day, including during lessons, transitions, break and lunch times, clubs, school trips and extracurricular activities.
Working closely with teaching staff, parents and external professionals, you will help ensure the student can fully access the curriculum, develop independence and feel secure, included and supported in all aspects of school life.
The role will involve collaboration with a range of professionals including:
Occupational Therapists
Speech and Language Therapists
Autism Advisory Teachers
Play Therapists
Clinical Psychologists
Physiotherapists and other external agencies
Key Responsibilities
Provide consistent emotional, social and academic support throughout the school day
Support communication, organisation, planning and engagement with learning
Promote independence and inclusion at all times
Support transitions between classes and activities
Provide supervision and support during unstructured times, including break and lunch
Assist with clubs, PE provision, physiotherapy programmes and school trips
Support the student with emotional regulation using a calm and attuned approach
Monitor progress and maintain detailed records
Attend and minute meetings relating to the student
Lead and coordinate aspects of the EHCP review process, including liais
