Hours: Teaching Assistant - 08:15 to 12:30 on Monday to Friday, during term time only.
Breakfast club from 08:00 Monday and Friday only, during term time
We are seeking an enthusiastic, organised, and nurturing professional to join our Junior School Teaching Assistant team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys building positive relationships with younger pupils, brings strong administrative and organisational skills, and is passionate about creating an engaging, supportive, and caring end‑of‑day environment.
As Breakfast Club Supervisor, you will provide support to Junior School children before school commences at 08:30, giving them the best possible start to their day. From there you will move to a classroom-based role to support the work of the class teacher. Our children learn as much outside their classroom as they do in it. You will enjoy offering creative opportunities for activities outside the curriculum, promoting team building and problem-solving skills, helping pupils to broaden friendship groups and their horizons.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and support pupils during breakfast club sessions
Ensure a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment at all times
Maintain accurate registers, records, and administrative tasks
Promote positive behaviour and ensure pupil wellbeing
Communicate effectively with pupils and staff
What We’re Looking For:
A minimum Level 3 childcare qualification
First aid qualification (desirable, but full training can be provided)
Previous experience of supporting pupils with Maths and English in KS1 and KS2
Ability to motivate and encourage pupils
Confidence, creativity and high standards of conduct
Professionally discreet and able to respect confidentiality
Ability to communicate effectively with parents, carers and other professionals
Ability to work as part of a team, reliable, good time keeping, patient and caring
