Multi-award-winning Ballard School is seeking a caring, enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our thriving Prep School from September 2026.
This is an exciting opportunity to support pupils in Years 6 and 7, helping them to achieve their full potential during an important stage of their educational journey. Working closely with teaching staff and the Learning Support department, the successful candidate will contribute to a positive, stimulating and inclusive learning environment in which every child can flourish.
We are looking for a highly motivated individual with excellent literacy and numeracy skills, a genuine passion for working with young people, and a commitment to supporting pupils' academic, social and emotional development. A Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent is desirable, together with relevant experience and a minimum of five GCSEs, including English and Mathematics.
The role will primarily involve supporting pupils in our Upper Prep department, although there may be occasions where support is required in other areas of the School, including Lower Prep or Senior School. The successful candidate may also provide one-to-one support for individual pupils when required.
The working hours are:
Monday: 8.30am – 4.00pm (30-minute unpaid lunch break)
Tuesday: 8.30am – 12.45pm
Wednesday: 8.30am – 12.45pm
Friday: 8.30am – 4.00pm (30-minute unpaid lunch break)
