Job Title: Teaching Assistant Location: Manor Wood School, Bishopsworth, Bristol, BS13 8AG Hours: 40 hours per week | Monday to Friday | 8:30am–4:30pm Salary: £23,638.00 per annum (not pro rata) Contract: Permanent | Term Time Only Start: March 2026 UK applicants only – no sponsorship available About the Role Manor Wood School is looking for an enthusiastic, caring and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our fantastic staff team. As a Teaching Assistant, you’ll work closely with teachers to support individual pupils and small groups, helping them access learning, build confidence, and achieve their goals. You’ll be a vital part of the classroom, offering hands-on support, encouragement and positive role modelling. You’ll build strong relationships, promote independence, support emotional wellbeing, and help create a positive learning environment where every child feels valued, understood and inspired. This is a role full of variety, purpose and joy — no two days are ever the same! Key Responsibilities Support individual pupils and small groups across the curriculum Deliver personalised learning and behaviour support programmes Prepare resources and equipment Record pupil progress and important information Encourage positive behaviour, social skills and self-esteem Supervise pupils throughout the school day, including lunchtime Accompany pupils on external trips and educational visits Support classroom organisation and displays Attend training, meetings, and contribute to whole-school improvement Build positive relationships with pupils, staff and families Who We Are Looking For Experience and Skills: GCSE Grade C/4 or above in English & Maths Basic IT skills A team pl
