Bridge House School are looking to recruit an outstanding Teacher to join our Teaching team! We are seeking an enthusiastic, resilient and highly skilled teacher to join our specialist SEMH provision. This role would ideally suit a teacher with experience of delivering a Key Stage 2 curriculum, who is confident teaching both Maths and English to a Year 7 class working below age-related expectations.
You will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging, well-structured lessons that meet the academic, social and emotional needs of pupils with SEMH needs. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to support pupils to re-engage with learning, develop confidence, and make sustained progress.
Key Responsibilities:Deliver high-quality teaching in Maths and English, drawing on KS2 pedagogy to support learners working significantly below age-related expectations
Adapt teaching to meet a wide range of learning, behavioural and emotional needs
Build strong, positive relationships with pupils to support engagement, regulation and progress
Use effective behaviour management strategies rooted in consistency, empathy and high expectations
Contribute to a supportive, reflective staff team and work closely with pastoral and therapeutic colleagues
Assess, track and report on pupil progress using appropriate strategies and interventions
