King Edward VI Handsworth Wood Girls’ Academy is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and talented Teacher of Psychology to join our successful Health & Social Sciences faculty.
The Role:-
· Deliver engaging and challenging lessons, promoting high levels of student progress and attainment.
· Plan, assess and adapt learning to meet the needs of all students.
· Use a range of teaching strategies and assessment methods to support achievement.
· Provide high-quality feedback to students, parents and carers.
· Create a safe, positive learning environment with effective behaviour management.
· Contribute to the wider life of the academy including enrichment activities.
The ideal candidate will have:-
· Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a degree in Psychology or a related subject.
· Experience teaching at secondary level, including KS5 (desirable).
· Strong subject knowledge and effective teaching practice.
· A track record of supporting student progress and attainment.
· Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
· A commitment to high expectations and student success.
