SALARY: United Learning Main Pay Scale – ECT preferred

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB
To ensure all school safeguarding procedures are rigorously adhered to, promoting the welfare of all students, at all times.
To plan and deliver high-quality Physical Education lessons across Key Stages 3 to 5, enabling all students to achieve their full potential and make strong progress.
To act as an enthusiastic and proactive advocate for Physical Education, recognising its importance in supporting students’ health, wellbeing, and personal development.
To develop and maintain strong, collaborative professional relationships within the PE department and contribute positively to the wider school community.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Promote the value of Physical Education across the school, raising the profile of the subject and encouraging student participation.
Maintain consistently high professional standards in attendance, punctuality, presentation, and conduct.
Contribute to the implementation of curriculum developments, including embedding the 2028 Educational Reforms within PE provision.
Contribute to the design, development, and review of schemes of work to ensure a broad, balanced, and ambitious diverse curriculum that is inclusive and forward thinking
Take responsibility for ongoing professional development, setting personal targets and engaging with relevant training opportunities.
Undertake any additional duties reasonably directed by the Head of Department or Headteacher.
