Teacher of Media Studies

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and dedicated Teacher of Media Studies at The Latymer School. The successful candidate will set high expectations for both students and themselves, inspiring and motivating pupils to achieve their very best. You will have exceptional subject knowledge and the ability to deliver dynamic, engaging lessons that foster participation, performance, and a lifelong appreciation of Media Studies. You will be joining The Latymer School at an exciting time as we work towards completing the build of our new modern and impressive Library and Learning Resource Centre. Moreover, as we enter our 402nd year, we are extremely proud of our history and tradition, whilst also seeking to continue to modernise and ensure every aspect of our school prepares our young people well for life in modern Britain. This one-year fixed-term, part-time position (0.4 FTE) offers a competitive salary and is perfectly suited to an ambitious teacher or Early Career Teacher looking to make their mark. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is desirable. The Media Department is a small department that is well resourced to provide a supportive working atmosphere for staff. Programmes of study seek to challenge and stimulate students with the department having a consistent record of excellent results with 90.9% of pupils gaining 9-7 in GCSE Media for 24-25. At A Level students continue to excel achieving 100% A*-C, with many going on to study Media at university. The successful candidate must be able to teach GCSE and A-level Media Studies to Year 11 and Year 13 students. They will work closely with one other teacher in the department.
