Teacher of Maths

An extremely rare and exciting opportunity has arisen at St Wilfrid’s to join our team as a Teacher of Maths. This is a permanent full-time post. We are seeking a colleague who can plan and deliver high-quality learning experiences for students and assess them accurately so that teaching is responsive and meets the needs of students. As a member of our large Maths team, you will be supported and challenged, so that as well as contributing to students’ success and that of the School, you are personally developed in your career. The Maths Team is made up of 13 dedicated, experienced colleagues. Our Maths Team are committed colleagues who ensure that this area of school and college is vibrant and inclusive. Maths outcomes are very strong at both GCSE and A Level. Students study for the AQA GCSE Maths qualification. A small number of students also study the AQA Entry Level qualification. Both AQA A Level Maths and AQA A Level Further Maths are offered at Post-16. These courses are highly popular. St Wilfrid’s Catholic High School & Sixth-Form College is a mixed voluntary Academy for 11-18 year olds, based in North Featherstone in West Yorkshire. There are currently 1,481 students in attendance. The school opened in 1963 and has a proud history. We were judged as Good by Ofsted in November 2021; we were also judged as Good by the Diocesan Section 48 Inspection in April 2024, with 7 out of 9 areas judged as Outstanding. We are proudly part of the Bishop Konstant Catholic Academy Trust, which comprises of three Secondary Schools and twelve Primary Schools.
