About this role
We are looking for an intellectually ambitious and inspiring teacher with excellent subject knowledge, a genuine enthusiasm for History and Politics, and the ability to engage, challenge and inspire pupils both inside and beyond the classroom.
History and Politics are among the school's strongest academic subjects, with excellent examination results, a flourishing intellectual culture and highly motivated pupils. The successful candidate will teach across the age range, contribute to curriculum development and play a full role in the rich co-curricular life of the departments. Opportunities exist to support educational visits, enrichment activities, Model United Nations, mock elections, academic societies and university preparation programmes.
Applications are welcomed from experienced teachers, Early Career Teachers and exceptional graduates. A teaching qualification is not essential, although candidates should hold a good degree in History and/or Politics or a related discipline and demonstrate a passion for education. Previous teaching experience is desirable but not essential.
As a full-time teacher at King's, you will also contribute to the pastoral life of the school as a mentor and participate fully in our extensive co-curricular programme.
