As the school continues to grow, RGSPP is seeking to develop Economics as a new subject offer at IGCSE and A Level, contributing to a broad, rigorous, and future-focused secondary curriculum.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons in Economics, and other subjects as appropriate to the skills of the teacher and needs of the school.
Where appropriate, contribute to the teaching of related subjects (e.g. Business, Humanities, or Mathematics).
Implement effective classroom management strategies to promote an inclusive and positive learning environment.
Foster creativity, inquiry-based learning, and problem-solving skills among students.
Adapt teaching methods and resources to accommodate different learning styles and needs.
Engage with parents and carers to support students’ academic progress and well-being.
Curriculum Development & Assessment
Develop and implement Schemes of Work that align with British International (IGCSE and A Level) curricula, reflecting both global perspectives and the Cambodian context where appropriate.
Support the establishment and growth of Economics as a new subject within the secondary school.
Use a variety of assessment methods to monitor and evaluate student progress effectively.
Provide clear, constructive feedback to students, ensuring clarity on learning goals and areas for improvement.
Stay updated with the latest curriculum developments and best practices in secondary education.
Contribute to departmental self-review and improvement planning.
