Teacher of Design Technology, start date August 2026
We are seeking an outstanding teacher of Design Technology who will be an ambitious and dynamic colleague who shares our vision of teaching as a vocation, and who will seize an exciting opportunity to work at Rugby School Japan (RSJ).
All teachers are expected to teach a range of age and ability groups from Year 7 through to the Sixth Form. The key responsibilities of the post holder will be to provide exceptional levels of teaching for all pupils from Years 7 upwards. Design Technology is a compulsory subject for all pupils up to Year 9. The very best pupils at RSJ will take Design Technology to the highest level possible, and many will wish to pursue the subject at outstanding universities. We are a busy Design Technology department with a variety of enrichment opportunities that the post holder will play a vital role in leading alongside the head of department.
The post holder will also be expected to make a full contribution to the pastoral and co-curricular life of the School.
