Teacher of Design Technology and Food

We currently have an exciting opportunity for Teacher of Design Technology and Food to join our fantastic team at Manchester Enterprise Academy (MEA) This is a permanent, full-time position on Teaching terms MPS–UPS, starting 1st September 2026. We’re looking for: We are looking for a suitably qualified candidate who can consistently deliver outstanding lessons. The ideal candidate will have thorough subject knowledge and understanding of current curriculum developments, good communication skills, and be able to plan and and develop appropriate learning activities. We would also like candidates to have successful teaching experience in the relevant phase. Main purpose of the job: The post holder is required to fulfil the professional responsibilities common to all classroom teachers, as outlined in the current School Teachers’ Pay and Conditions Document. The post holder will meet the Professional Standards for Teachers appropriate to their career stage and exercise professional judgement in carrying out their duties collaboratively. The key purpose of the role is to secure high standards of teaching, learning and achievement in Design Technology and Food, ensuring that all students make strong progress and are supported to reach their full potential. The post holder is accountable to the Curriculum Leader, Senior Leader, and ultimately the Headteacher.
