Loreto College is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and passionate Teacher of Criminology and Law to join our vibrant and successful Criminology and Law departments. Both subjects, at Loreto College are popular subjects which deliver high success rates and excellent student progression, with many students going onto fantastic destinations. Each department runs a range of extra-curricular activities and trips that make each subject an exciting subject to study at Loreto.
As a Teacher of Criminology and Law at Loreto you will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching and learning under the leadership of each Head of Department. You will undertake regular assessment of students’ work and provide timely feedback. You will also monitor and support the progress and development of students using the college’s bespoke in-house systems, as well as building and maintaining positive relationships with students. Additionally, you will contribute to the development and delivery of each subject in line with awarding organisation specifications and through working closely and collaboratively with your colleagues.
Loreto Sixth Form College has been awarded a second consecutive outstanding rating in all areas under the latest framework in our December 2022 inspection. Ofsted noted "Students’ behaviour is exemplary’ and that ‘Students who study at Loreto do exceptionally well.’ Ofsted also noted that ‘Leaders place a very high priority on staff mental health and wellbeing including workload. For example, staff can access counselling services, chaplaincy support, and the employee assistance programme’.
