We are a small, welcoming independent specialist school supporting up to 55 students aged 11–18 with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. Role Overview
This is a primarily administrative role with responsibility for supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the school office. In addition, the postholder will undertake the duties of Examinations Officer during key periods of the academic year.
While the examinations element is a smaller proportion of the role, the successful candidate must be confident in understanding and adhering to all statutory and regulatory requirements associated with examinations, ensuring full compliance with awarding body and Joint Council for Qualifications (JCQ) regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Administration (Main Duties)
Provide efficient and professional administrative support to the school leadership team and wider staff.
Act as a first point of contact for visitors, parents/carers, and external agencies.
Manage incoming calls, emails, and correspondence.
Maintain accurate student records, attendance data, and school information systems.
Support admissions processes, including enquiries, paperwork, and record keeping.
Coordinate meetings, take minutes where required, and manage calendars.
Ensure confidentiality and secure handling of sensitive information at all times.
Assist with general office organisation, filing, and compliance documentation.
Examinations (Key but Seasonal Duties)
Plan, organise, and administer all internal and external examinations in line with awarding body and JCQ regulations.
