Teacher of Biology

We wish to hire a dedicated and qualified Teacher of Biology (m/f/d) with experience in teaching Secondary School to join our dynamic educational institution full-time. The teacher will be expected to create and deliver engaging Biology lessons that captivate students' interest and foster a deep understanding of scientific concepts and inquiry skills. This encompasses not only conveying theoretical knowledge but also applying innovative, hands-on and inquiry-based teaching methodologies to cultivate critical thinking skills and real-world applicability. Key Roles & Responsibilities: · Delivery of the Cambridge Lower Secondary Science program, including Sports and Environmental Science as well as the IB & IGCSE Biology programs. · Be responsible for the high quality of teaching and learning of the students. · Be responsible for student progress and welfare. · To create and maintain positive learning environments with the students. · To have up-to-date knowledge and understanding of the professional duties of teachers. · To take responsibility for implementing school policies. Qualifications & Experience: · A formal teaching qualification such as PGCE, PGdip, BEd, MEd, Qualified Teacher Status or equivalent teaching qualification and evidence of in-service training. · Knowledge of Sports & Environmental Science of great advantage · Experience with Middle and Upper School Science is required. · Knowledge, Skills and Experience of the IGCSE · IB MYP/DP is advantageous. · Experience of working in an international school is desired. · Good teaching and communication skills, both written and verbal.
