About this role
Malvern College is seeking an enthusiastic and highly proficient Spanish Language Assistant to join our successful Modern Languages Department. This is a part-time, temporary role (7 months).
This is an exciting opportunity for a fluent or native-level Spanish speaker to inspire pupils and develop their confidence, fluency and accuracy in spoken Spanish. Working closely with the Head of MFL and teaching staff, you will support pupils preparing for IGCSE, A Level and International Baccalaureate (IB) speaking examinations, while fostering a passion for the Spanish language and Hispanic culture.
The Role
You will deliver engaging one-to-one and small-group conversation sessions, primarily for examination-year pupils, helping them develop the skills and confidence needed to excel in oral examinations. You will also support the wider work of the department through classroom assistance, administrative support and cultural enrichment activities.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver one-to-one and small-group Spanish conversation practice.
Prepare pupils for IGCSE, A Level and IB speaking examinations.
Develop pupils' confidence, fluency and accuracy in spoken Spanish.
Provide opportunities to practise examination-style speaking tasks.
Promote enthusiasm for Spanish language and Hispanic culture.
Support the Modern Languages Department through classroom and administrative assistance.
Work collaboratively as a valued member of the department.
Act as a positive role model, promoting high standards of achievement, behaviour and engagement.
