About this role
Hodge Hill College is seeking to appoint a highly organised, enthusiastic and proactive Senior Librarian and SEND Administrator to join our dedicated support staff team.
This is a varied and rewarding role that combines responsibility for leading and developing the school library with providing high-quality administrative support to the Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) department. The successful candidate will play a key role in promoting reading for pleasure, supporting literacy across the curriculum and creating an engaging learning environment for students, whilst also ensuring the efficient administration of SEND processes, records and communication.
Working closely with the SENDCo, teaching staff, students, parents/carers and external agencies, the postholder will help ensure that students receive the support they need to achieve their full potential. They will also manage the day-to-day operation of the library, organise reading initiatives and maintain high-quality learning resources that support student achievement and personal development.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual who thrives in a busy school environment, has excellent organisational and interpersonal skills, and is committed to inclusion, literacy and positive outcomes for all students.
Hodge Hill College is a diverse and inclusive secondary school with a strong commitment to high standards, student achievement and staff development. We pride ourselves on providing a supportive working environment where staff wellbeing and professional growth are prioritised.
