The Trustees are looking to recruit to the post of Senior Job Coach Heywood Academy Hours: 36 hours 40 minutes per week – Term time plus 5 days (195 days) SEN Allowance - £1,539 per annum NJC SO1 - Points 23-25 - £34,434 - £36,363 per annum (Full time equivalent) Actual salary - £29,451 - £31,100 per annum Commencing September 2026 Heywood Academy is entering its second year and will be opening our post-16 provision, Heywood Aspirations. Both the school and the post-16 provision have high aspirations for our young people, recognising that developing a strong set of workplace skills is a vital part of preparing them to succeed in their chosen career pathways and to progress towards living independent lives. We currently have a vacancy for a Senior Job Coach based within our Heywood Aspirations post-16 provision at Heywood Academy. The role will primarily focus on supporting young people in Key Stage 5; however, it will also involve working with young people in Key Stages 3 and 4 to help them access work experience placements and develop the skills needed to succeed in the workplace. This will include delivering sessions that support young people’s personal development, enabling them to become successful adults and thrive within the world of work. The successful candidate will also be responsible for completing risk assessments for young people’s work placements, ensuring that all environments are safe and appropriate. There will also be significant engagement with external partners to ensure the smooth running of placements, as well as to develop and create new opportunities with employers. Own transport is essential with business use insurance, as the role will involve regular travel to a range of placements across the Rochdale/Greater Manchester area.
