Senior Houseparent

Cardiff Sixth Form College invites applications for the post of Senior Houseparent (Pastoral). The successful candidate will be a creative and hardworking individual, keen to play a significant role in the life of the college and become a key member of the boarding team. Four Senior Houseparents in total work as part of the Boarding Management Team, under the Head of Boarding. They are assisted by a team of Houseparents and Graduate Resident Assistants. This opportunity comes at the most exciting period in the history of the college as we look to relocate to brand new, purpose-built premises in Cardiff Bay from September 2026. Cardiff Sixth Form College has led the UK independent school league tables for A Level results for over a decade and has big plans for the future. Senior Houseparents deputise for the Head of Boarding and have senior responsibilities as part of the overall management of Boarding operations and pastoral care. The specific responsibilities for the Senior Houseparent (Pastoral) are outlined on the Job Description. The other Senior Houseparents are responsible for Administration, Co-Curricular and Lower School (Years 10-11). Applications are welcome from candidates of all backgrounds and experiences.
