Are you passionate about making a real difference to the lives of children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)? Do you believe that strong relationships with families, high-quality support and effective partnership working can transform outcomes for students?
We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, compassionate and highly organised SEND Family Liaison Officer to join our dedicated Learning Support Team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in supporting students with SEND and their families. Working closely with the SEND Team, you will act as a key point of contact for parents and carers, helping families navigate school systems and wider SEND services while coordinating support that enables students to thrive both academically and personally.
As our SEND Family Liaison Officer, you will:
Build positive and trusting relationships with students, parents and carers
Support the identification, monitoring and review of provision for students with SEND
Coordinate referrals to external agencies and specialist professionals
Support Education, Health and Care (EHC) needs assessments, Annual Reviews and Person-Centred Reviews
Liaise effectively with teachers, external professionals and our Local Authority to ensure high-quality, coordinated support
Monitor student progress, evaluate interventions and use data to improve outcomes
Work directly with students through one-to-one, small group and classroom-based support where appropriate
Promote inclusive practice and help remove barriers to learning for students with SEND
Promote and safeguard the welfare of children and young people in accordance with our Safeguarding and Child Protection policies
