We are seeking a highly organised and proactive SEND Administrator to support our busy SEND department in an independent school for pupils aged 7–16. This is a role at the heart of school life, working closely with the SENDCo, teachers, support staff, pupils and parents to ensure that every child receives the support they need to thrive.
Working pattern:
Monday - Friday 08:00 - 17:00, Term time plus 3 weeks
What will you be doing?
No two days are quite the same, but your responsibilities will include:
Maintaining accurate SEND records and databases
Supporting the administration of EHCP reviews and annual review meetings
Preparing documentation, reports and correspondence
Liaising with parents, local authorities and external agencies
Organising meetings and keeping the SEND calendar running smoothly
Ensuring confidential information is handled with professionalism and care
Being the calm, organised person everyone is delighted to find if things become slightly chaotic due to last minute sickness or changes
We're looking for someone who:
Has excellent administrative and organisational skills
Has exceptional attention to detail
Can prioritise competing demands with confidence
Communicates warmly and professionally with colleagues, parents and external professionals
Is proficient with Microsoft Office and school management systems
Understands the importance of confidentiality and safeguarding
Has experience working in education, SEND or administration (desirable)
Extra brownie points if you have these skills (though enthusiasm and transferable skills are equally valued)
Knowledge of SEND processes and terminology
