SEN Teacher (Key Stage 3 Modified Curriculum)
The role is a Permanent, Full-Time only role
Monday to Friday: (08:30am – 17:00pm)
Salary from: Dependant on experience

We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic Teacher, with an interest in teaching a range of subjects, to join our KS3 (Yr7/8) team, supporting children who have speech and language and communication difficulties.
The successful candidate will be expected to teach a modified curriculum, based on the National Curriculum, to pupils with speech, language and communication difficulties. The teacher will be expected to teach a class of approximately 8 pupils, working alongside a team of Speech and Language Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Arts Therapists and Learning Support Assistants.
The ideal candidate will have:
• Supporting our students can sometimes be challenging, mental and physical resilience are qualities necessary for all our staff.
• A high level of mental and physical resilience as supporting our students can often be challenging
• Confidence, enthusiasm and a passion for learning.
• Experience of delivering a modified KS3 curriculum through multisensory methods.
• Excellent English skills (clear written and spoken English) along with good reading, writing and numeracy skills.
• The ability to build good working relationships with children, teachers, parents and carers.
• Experience of working with children with Special Education Needs (SEN), particularly children with SLCN.
• Proven ability to cope with challenging behaviour is desirable for the role.
• The ability to manage a small group of children with complex social communication needs.
• The ability to promote positive behaviour in a nurturing environment is essential.
