Secondary School English Language Learner (ELL) Coordinator and ELL Co-Teacher

ELL Coordinator & Instructional Specialist (Secondary School)Taejon Christian International School | Daejeon, South Korea Taejon Christian International School (TCIS) seeks an experienced educator to serve as ELL Coordinator & Instructional Specialist in our Secondary School. This is a hybrid leadership and teaching role, including program coordination, instructional coaching, and a 3.0 teaching load within a growing ELL program. The Role This position leads the Secondary ELL program and supports academic language development across the curriculum. Key responsibilities include: Leading and developing the ELL program Overseeing admissions language assessment and placement (WIDA) Coaching teachers and supporting effective language acquisition practices Designing and implementing co-teaching systems Monitoring student progress and interventions Teaching as a strategic ELL co-teacher and/or instructor Qualifications Degree in Education, TESOL, Applied Linguistics, or related field (Master’s preferred) ELL/ESL certification preferred Minimum 3 years experience in ELL/ESL education Leadership experience and IB/international experience preferred About TCIS TCIS is a K–12 Christian IB World School committed to developing internationally-minded learners who lead in purposeful change.
