The English International School of Padua is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and talented Teacher of Computer Science to join its highly motivated and experienced team to teach Computer Science across Key Stage 3, Key Stage 4 (Cambridge IGCSE), and Key Stage 5 (IB Diploma Programme) as part of our thriving Secondary School.
We are seeking someone excited to participate in the growth of the subject within the key stages. Therefore, someone who can:
Plan and deliver engaging, challenging and differentiated Computer Science lessons across KS3, KS4 (Cambridge IGCSE) and KS5 (IB Diploma Programme).
Prepare students effectively for external examinations, ensuring excellent academic outcomes and strong progress.
Develop schemes of work, lesson plans and assessments aligned with the Cambridge IGCSE and IB Diploma Programme Computer Science curricula.
Foster computational thinking, programming skills and problem-solving through a range of practical and theoretical learning experiences.
Teach programming using appropriate languages (e.g. Python) alongside topics such as algorithms, data representation, computer systems, networking, databases and object-oriented programming.
Monitor, assess and report on student progress, providing timely and constructive feedback.
Inspire curiosity and enthusiasm for Computer Science, encouraging students to pursue further study and careers in technology.
Contribute to the continued development of the Computer Science curriculum and wider STEM initiatives.
Work collaboratively with colleagues across departments to promote interdisciplinary learning and innovation.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of developments in Computer Science education, educational technology and assessment practices.
Build positive relationships with students, parents and colleagues through excellent communication and professionalism.
Demonstrate excellent organisational skills, effective classroom management and a commitment to high standards of teaching
