Science Teacher (Temporary or Permanent Opportunity)

Contract Type: Full Time Salary: Dependent upon experience Contract Term: Temporary appointment in the first instance, with the possibility of extension or a permanent appointment for the right candidate. Cargilfield is a leading independent IAPS preparatory school in Edinburgh for boys and girls aged 3 to 13. We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and experienced Science Teacher to join us for the start of the Autumn Term 2026. The successful candidate will be an outstanding classroom practitioner, capable of inspiring curiosity and enthusiasm for Science across the preparatory age range. Experience of preparing pupils for Common Entrance and scholarship examinations would be advantageous. The ideal candidate will be committed to providing excellent pastoral care and willing to participate fully in the busy life of a thriving prep school. We would be particularly interested in hearing from candidates who can contribute to the wider life of the school through co-curricular activities, outdoor education or other areas of school life.
