School Nurse/First Aider

Contract: Part-time, permanent Hours: 16 per week. Monday & Friday (term-time only), 9am-5pm (consideration would be given to a later start) Start Date: August/September Pay: £15 per hour, £9,504 per year All Hallows School (part of the Monkton Family of Schools) is seeking to appoint a dedicated and professional nurse/first aider to join our small, hardworking and friendly medical team. The aim of the role is to support pupils’ health and wellbeing so that they can fully participate in school life and provide health care to members of the school community. Responsibilities include: Provide first aid and emergency care to all pupils, staff, and visitors whilst on-site. Triage and assess unwell/injured students brought to the medical centre; monitor progress and assess the need for either escalation of treatment or fitness to attend lessons; and inform houseparents, parents, and teachers as appropriate. Maintain medical records accurately, confidentially, safely, and promptly in accordance with school policies and procedures. Administer appropriate over-the-counter and prescription medications following medication policy. Build relationships with students and staff members to enhance health provision and advice within the school.
