Email: info@capitaltokyo.com Position Details Position: PYP Music Teacher Department: Music Education Stage: Elementary/Primary School Curriculum: IB Primary Years Programme (PYP) Position Type: Full-time Teacher Key Responsibilities Deliver engaging, standards-aligned music lessons within the IB PYP framework Plan and teach lessons that support inquiry-based learning, creativity, and holistic development Create a welcoming classroom culture where every student feels encouraged to participate Support students in developing musical skills through voice, instruments, movement, rhythm, and listening activities Integrate technology into learning where appropriate Collaborate with colleagues to ensure music learning connects with broader learning themes and school initiatives Contribute to school-wide music events such as concerts, musicals, talent shows, performances, and other celebratory activities Skills and Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education or a related field Minimum 4 years teaching experience, ideally in an international and/or IB setting Strong understanding of the IB PYP framework and the ability to apply it to music education Ability
