Position: Psychology Teacher
Department: Psychology
Reporting to: Head of Psychology
Location: Epsom College Malaysia, Bandar Enstek, Negeri Sembilan
1. Job Purpose
Deliver engaging GCSE and A Level Psychology lessons, primarily following the Edexcel specification and the UK curriculum, with the flexibility to teach other examination boards as required by student and school needs.
2. Reporting Structure & Accountability
The Psychology Teacher is accountable as follows:
To the Head of Department for all curriculum and academic matters, working closely with the Academic Director.
To the Housemaster/Housemistress for pastoral matters.
To the Head of School for overall professional conduct, performance management, and adherence to college-wide policy.
3. Key Responsibilities
Teaching and Learning
Deliver high-quality lessons in line with the Edexcel GCSE and A Level Psychology curriculum.
Teach students foundational Psychology concepts and skills.
Plan and implement lessons within the two-week teaching cycle.
Assess student progress through regular formative and summative assessments, providing timely and constructive feedback.
Contribute to curriculum development, resource creation, and the sharing of best practices within the department.
Support students’ exam preparation and coursework completion.
Participate in departmental and whole-school meetings, professional development, and other school initiatives.
Undertake professional development and in-service training as required, including directed time prior to the start of terms or half-terms.
Pastoral, Extra-Curricular and Cover Duties
Create and sustain a purposeful, inclusive, and positive working atmosphere in all lessons, upholding the College’s disciplinary policies and procedures.
Lead or participate in extra-curricular activities as and when required.
Commit fully to the life of a boarding school community, including attendance at events and presentations led by the Head of School, Deputy
