The School Established in 1894, Oporto British School is the longest-established British School in mainland Europe. The Position We are seeking a talented, motivated, and experienced Teacher of Portuguese to join our Primary Section from September 2026 and to coordinate the Primary Portuguese Department. This is a middle leadership position combining both teaching and departmental coordination responsibilities. The successful candidate will be a qualified teacher of Portuguese with the ability to teach Portuguese both as a first language and as foreign language, as well as Portuguese History. You will be a highly effective, innovative, and dynamic classroom teacher with a genuine commitment to putting students first. You will also demonstrate the leadership skills necessary to support the continued development of the Portuguese Department, fostering innovation, independence of curriculum, collaboration, consistency, and high-quality teaching practices across the team.
