Pre-Prep Early Years Teaching Assistant (TA)

Multi-award-winning Ballard School is seeking a caring, enthusiastic and dedicated Early Years Teaching Assistant to join our thriving Pre-Prep department from September 2026. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting children at the start of their educational journey, helping to create a stimulating, nurturing and engaging learning environment in which every child can thrive. We are looking for a highly motivated individual with a full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification (or higher), excellent literacy and numeracy skills, and a genuine passion for working with young children. The successful candidate will work closely with class teachers to support learning, promote independence, encourage positive behaviour and contribute to the wellbeing and development of pupils across the Pre-Prep setting. Applications are welcomed from candidates seeking either full-time or part-time employment. We currently have a full-time vacancy in Year 2 (Monday to Friday, 8.30am-4.00pm) and a part-time vacancy in Nursery and Kindergarten (Fridays, 8.30am-4.00pm). We would also consider appointing two part-time candidates to cover the available hours and therefore encourage applications from those seeking anything from one day per week to full-time employment.
