Position SummaryWe are seeking an experienced and passionate Pre-K Teacher to join our Early Years team for a full-time temporary maternity cover position from August to December 2026. The successful candidate will work with children aged 3–4 years in a Reggio Emilia–inspired and IB Primary Years Programme (PYP) environment, providing high-quality, child-centered, play-based learning experiences in English.
Key Responsibilities
Teaching and Learning
Plan and facilitate inquiry-based, play-centered learning experiences.
Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of individual learners.
Collaborate with colleagues to design responsive and engaging learning opportunities.
Implement accommodations and modifications as required.
Assessment and Documentation
Observe, assess, and document children's learning and development.
Use pedagogical documentation and assessment data to inform planning and support student growth.
Make learning visible through meaningful documentation practices.
Relationships and Wellbeing
Build positive, respectful relationships with children and families.
Support children's social-emotional development and positive behavior.
Foster a safe, inclusive, and nurturing classroom community.
Learning Environment
Create engaging indoor and outdoor environments that promote exploration, creativity, and inquiry.
Ensure learning spaces are safe, organized, accessible, and responsive to student needs.
Family Partnerships
Communicate regularly with families regarding children's learning and development.
Develop collaborative relationships that support student success at home and school.
QualificationsBachelor's degree in Education, Early Childhood Education, or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years of Early Years teaching experience.
English proficiency at C1 level or above.
Strong understanding of child-centered, inquiry-based learning.
Preferred ExperienceReggio Emilia–inspired education.
