We are seeking a highly organised, resilient and relational Post-16 Operations Manager to provide operational leadership across our specialist SEND Post-16 provision. This role is central to ensuring the smooth, safe and consistent day-to-day running of the college whilst promoting a calm, nurturing and purposeful environment where vulnerable young people can engage, regulate and succeed.
The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting students presenting with SEND, SEMH, anxiety, trauma, emotional regulation and social communication needs, whilst leading operational systems relating to attendance, behaviour, safeguarding, pastoral oversight and student wellbeing.
About the role
• Lead the day-to-day operational running of the Specialist SEND Post-16 College
• Provide pastoral leadership and oversee behaviour, attendance, safeguarding and student wellbeing systems
• Act as Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead (DDSL) and support operational compliance and inspection readiness
• Coordinate referrals, inductions, staffing oversight, work placements and multi-agency communication whilst promoting a calm, relational and purposeful college culture
About You
We welcome applicants with experience working within education, SEND, SEMH, alternative provision or specialist settings.
You will be a calm, organised and highly relational professional with strong pastoral instincts and the ability to lead operational systems effectively within a complex environment.
