About the Role The Instruction & Training Specialist (Referred to internally as the Disciplinary Instruction & Training Officer (DITO)) is a network-wide instructional leadership position designed for highly accomplished educators who are passionate about improving teaching across multiple schools – specific to your subject area or discipline. DITOs work closely with teachers, Department Chairs, and school leadership teams to strengthen subject-specific instruction, support curriculum implementation, and ensure alignment of teaching and assessment practices across the BASIS International & Bilingual Schools network. Unlike traditional classroom teaching positions, the DITO role provides the opportunity to influence student outcomes across multiple campuses while mentoring teachers, conducting classroom observations, supporting professional development, and contributing to curriculum and assessment development. This position is based in Shenzhen and works at the network-level while regularly traveling to schools the BASIS International & Bilingual Schools throughout China.
