Oeiras International School (OIS) is seeking a caring, creative, and inquiry‑driven PSPE & PHE (PYP and MYP) Teacher to join our team from 21 August 2026. Role OverviewWe are seeking a passionate, innovative, and student‑centered Physical & Health Education (PHE) Teacher to teach across the PYP and MYP. The ideal candidate will be committed to holistic development, teamwork, and promoting lifelong healthy habits in students from Years 1–10.
Key ResponsibilitiesPlan and deliver engaging PHE lessons aligned with IB PYP and MYP frameworks.
Foster a safe, inclusive, and active learning environment.
Design units of inquiry that integrate physical, social, and emotional well‑being.
Assess student progress using a variety of formative and summative strategies.
Coordinate and support school‑wide sports activities, events, and after‑school programmes.
Work collaboratively with colleagues to strengthen the PHE curriculum.
Communicate proactively with students, families, and staff.
Model and promote values aligned with the IB Learner Profile.
Required Qualifications & ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Physical Education, Sports Science, Health Education, or similar field.
Teaching qualification or certification.
Experience teaching children or adolescents in a school or sports setting, especially within IB PYP and MYP frameworks.
Strong understanding of child development, play‑based learning, and inquiry-led pedagogy.
Excellent English language skills.
